As I rest here, enjoying this beautiful creek–this safe haven from the world I read this: Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.❤️
He makes me lie down in green pastures;❤️
He leads me beside quiet waters.❤️
He restores my soul;❤️
He guides me in the paths of righteousness FOR HIS NAMES SAKE.❤️
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me;❤️
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;❤️
Thou hast anointed my head with oil;❤️
My cup OVERFLOWS.❤️
SURELY goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,❤️
And I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER.?
This past weekend we held our first Be Free Ministry Retreat of 2017–PRAYING POWER.
At this retreat we learned that the power of God flows out of RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ as a result of choosing to ABIDE in HIS WORD.
John 15:7
If you ABIDE in ME and MY WORDS ABIDE in YOU, ASK WHATEVER you wish and it shall be DONE FOR YOU.
Does this verse challenge your faith? It should! Press into God and receive His reassurance that when we seek the Lord in prayer the Holy Spirit will intercede for us and align our will with His will. AMEN!
Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
REMEMBER–that the prayer of the righteous can MOVE the heart of God!!
We see this in the Old Testament with Moses interceding for the Israelites (Deut 9:13,14); Abraham interceding for God to spare his nephew Lot who was in Sodom (Gen 18: 16-33);
and Daniel interceding for his people when they were no longer permitted to pray! (Daniel 9:1-19).
Through a knowledge of God’s Word and FAITH–the kind of faith that says:
“God, I believe you for the miracle BEFORE the miracle”–
The kind of faith that is BIGGER than our FEAR–this brand of faith, when we pray in the power of the NAME of JESUS brings the MIRACLE!! AMEN!?
David D. Ireland wrote in his wonderful book called “The Kneeling Warrior”:
God wants us to make requests because He delights in answering us! We are to persistently pursue Him for all his promises because this pleases Him.
There are four common reasons for unanswered prayers:
1. The prayer may reflect wrong motives and diss honest motivations.
2. The prayer may be outside of God’s will.
3. The prayer is not followed up with action.
4. The person praying my doubt God’s ability or willingness to answer the prayer.”
The KEY: BELIEVE that GOD’s WORD is HIS WILL!!
If God’s Word says it–why DOUBT GOD???
The prayer of FAITH, prayed in humble submission to God’s will –brings the MIRACLE–BUT you MUST BELIEVE God will HEAR and ANSWER your PRAYER!?
As I prayed after our retreat, the sunlight poured down on my face and I opened my eyes to see a beam of light pouring down from the sky over the cross and upon me. It was a beautiful
sign to me, witnessing to my Spirit, that God is pleased and aware of me. ? (Isaiah 61:1-7)
I will speak His truth whatever the cost! I WILL NOT BACK DOWN. I will CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THE WORDS OF JESUS and NOT DOUBT! I will BELIEVE in the goodness and the lovingkindness and faithfulness of our GREAT GOD! ?
You may call this CRAZY FAITH–but ironically–that is exactly the brand of FAITH you MUST HAVE and SPEAK INTO ACTION by FAITH–to bring the MIRACLE in JESUS NAME! ?
PRESS IN TO GOD in FAITH! I PRAY FOR REVIVAL TO BEGIN IN YOUR HEARTS!
Wake up from the DEEP SLEEP OF UNBELIEF and BELIEVE for MIRACLES, HEALING, DELIVERANCE and FREEDOM to COME FORTH in JESUS MIGHTY NAME!?
