Writing for Jesus: Day 21

Writing for Jesus: Day 21

“The Gospel of Christ”

There are so many pastors, teachers, evangelists, and churches. Sometimes It can be overwhelming, trying to discern who is correctly teaching the Word of God.

Now, more than ever, we need spiritual discernment and to know that Word of God! In Hosea 4:6 it reads: “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” Let that not be true of us!

Below are the teachings the Lord led me to in His Word today–and honestly, it’s an answer to a prayer I’ve  had on my heart for over a year now–because it is my utmost desire to rightly teach God’s Word to others and to be in truth myself!

So, here is what the Holy Spirit led me to today, and I am sharing it with you without much commentary, so you will go to your Bible and read it for yourself as you seek the Lord in faith. ❤️?

***Start with Revelation 2:2 about discerning “false apostles”, and is the council John the Revelator received for the church in Ephesus:

“I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot endure evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are NOT and you found them to be FALSE”

Then read: Gal 1:7

“There are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ.”

In the Lexical Aid in my NASB Key Word Study Bible, the word “gospel” cited in Gal 1:7, is “Euaggelion”, which means the GOOD NEWS of the KINGDOM of GOD and SALVATION through CHRIST.

The verses listed below are cited in this NASB Key Word Study Bible as an explanation for what the GOSPEL of CHRIST truly is.

I encourage you to read the  verses listed below, which explain the content which comprises what the Word of God–The BIBLE identifies as “The Gospel of Christ”.

Be sure to look up every single verse as you go.  I have listed these verses in the same order they were listed in the NASB Key Word Study Bible:

My 4:23, 9:35; 24:14; 26:13; Mark 1:1; 14;8:35; 10:29; 13:10; 14:9; 16:15; Acts 15:7; 20:24; 1 Pet 4:17.

The “Gospel of Christ”:

1. Healing &Deliverance from every kind of sickness.  (Matt 4:23, 9:35)

2. Evangelism/Teach the Word (Matt 24:14)

3. Sacrifice (Mark 8:35, 10:29;)

4. Jesus is the prophesied “Cornerstone” that will be rejected.  (Mark 13:10)

5. “The precious Ointment” Worship and anoint the Lord with our tears and our love–Jesus remembers this act of love forever–in the same way, Jesus understands and remembers what we have done for Him and His Kingdom.  (Matt 26:13, Mark 14:9, Mark 1:1; 14)

6. The Great Commission–Go and preach the gospel to the whole world.   (Mark 16:15)

7. The Holy Spirit is received (into a believer’s life and heart)by FAITH in Jesus Christ. (Acts 15:7)

8. We must testify solemnly of the “Gospel of Grace of God”–that we are saved by our faith through grace (Acts 15:7-12; Acts 20:24).

***Spiritual equipping comes “grace upon grace” as we RECEIVE OUR spiritual gifts from the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit and develop them!! See 1 Cor 12-14, Gal 2:19-20)
***Remember–the Power of Christ to operate in our spiritual giftings, flows
from BELIEVING and RECEIVING the power of the Holy Spirit BY FAITH. Spiritual gifts need to be developed to Bless the Body of Christ!

9. God will judge our deeds and we must obey the Lord and His Gospel (1 Pet 4:17; 2 Thess 1:8)

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!???????❤️❤️I love my KING JESUS!!!!!!!

Grace and Peace,

Ashley Gronholm
