“A Ministry Commended”
What does it mean to have a “commendable ministry”? Paul went into great detail to tell us. Below is an outline of 2 Cor 6:1-18. I courage you to read this chapter in the Bible today and pour over these words of wisdom. You do not have to be running a ministry for these words to apply to you personally–for each one of us who believe in Jesus Christ are His ambassadors! Amen!!
A Commendable Ministry
2 Cor 6:1-18
- Do not receive the grace of God in vain (v1,2)
“At the acceptable (Phil 4:18) time I listened to you, and on the Day of Salvation I helped you” (Is 49:8)
- Give no cause for offense in anything, as to not discredit the ministry (v3)
- In everything commending ourselves as servants of God (v 4)
–endurance
–suffering affliction
–suffering hardships
–in distresses
–bearings
–imprisonments
–hunger
–tumults
–labors
–sleeplessness
- V 6 Serving in
–purity
–knowledge
–patience
–kindness in the Holy Spirit
–genuine love
–word of truth
–in the power of God
–by the weapons of righteousness
–by glory (while being dishonored)
–regarded as deceivers yet TRUE
–unknown yet known
–dying yet behold we LIVE
–punished yet not put to death
–sorrowful yet always rejoicing
–poor yet making many rich
–having nothing yet possessing all things
***CAUTION
Do not be bound with unbelievers 14-16
Do not touch what is unclean.
