Where do I begin? I stood on Mount Carmel today, overlooking the vast valley of Jezreel, astounded by  what has and will take place in this very location!!! Twenty-Seven bloody battles were fought  here, including the battle fought by warriors Deborah and Barak to take back the land from the Philistines. What amazing timing the Lord has, considering that just 3 weeks ago, I held our first “Deborah Anointing Retreat” at Be Free Ministry!! I did not realize that in just a few weeks I  would literally be standing on Mount Carmel looking out over the very place that it all occurred!!!

It was fascinating as well to stand atop Mount Carmel and imagine the great Prophet Elijah calling down fire from heaven to defeat those who worshipped  the false god, Baal.

Off in the distance, was Mount Tabor, also known as the Mount of Transfiguration!  To my right: the mountains where the Israelites once dwelled in Old Testament times. To my left: Nazareth. Beyond the valley lies the Sea of Galilee! I can’t wait!!!

Standing from this high point, taking in the Panoramic view of it all, was surreal to say the least.  One day, Jesus will return and with his army, he will defeat the enemy once and for all!!! Hallelujah!!!

I also want to note that the circular stone altar image was the very altar that sat outside one of Ahab and Jezebel’s Palaces. This is where they performed animal sacrifices to their false god’s. The ruins included here are of their palace as well.

Thank you Jesus, that one day, there will be no more altars erected to false gods! I look forward to the day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD of LORDS!!!
