At Be Free Ministry we believe in the FULL GOSPEL and embrace the laying on of hands for the sick to be healed in the name of Jesus.
James 5:14,15:
Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (Matt 6:13; 16:18) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (Is 33:24)
In Matt 10:8, the Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples to:
- Raise the dead
- Cast out demons
- Heal the sick
- Baptize in his name
Why would we as a church ever choose to limit what God can do? Instead, we must believe the word of God by faith! I have seen much skeptical around the issue of healing in the church. Yes, it is true, that we must be discerning of those who “claim” to have the gift of healing in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. We must “test the spirits” as well to discern their motives, whether they be good or evil.
There are “rules of operation” to help believers discern if the gift of healing is real and from Jesus Christ:
- Do they pray for healing in the Name of Jesus?
- Do they give God glory or focus on themselves and want attention and praise?
- Do they preach from the word of God: The Bible; or do they quote “another gospel” from counterfeit sources such as New Age and Reiki healing teachers and the Book of Mormon, which is teaching the plagiarized the Bible and distorts its true meaning!
- What are the fruits coming from their personal lives and ministries? Is there peace or strife? Do the fruits of the Spirit abound? (Gal 5:22,23; James 3:13-4:8).
Be WISE! Any “power source” that is not from Jesus Christ ALONE through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT is a COUNTERFEIT power of the devil!
At Be Free Ministry, we do not support New Age healing, or Christian cults (Mormonism, Scientology, etc…) which are counterfeits for true healing in Jesus Name! Many people—even some believers… are deceived into thinking that Reiki healing and other New Age healing is a good “healing source”. Friends this is a lie from the devil and is not from the Triune God that devout Christians believe in! Please read your Bibles and stay away from ALL forms of New Age teachings that are infiltrating our churches, society, and thinking!
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 5:13: Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any SICK among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (Mark 6:13; 16:18).
Lastly, the anointing of the Holy Spirit will break every yoke!!! Only a pure vessel of the Lord (Rom 9:23; Eph 4:1; Luke 7:47) can be a “glory carrier” who operates in the true anointing of God. Pure vessels operate in the “wisdom that is from above” as described in James 3:17, and who practices “pure religion” outlines in James 1:27:
James 3:17,18
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be untreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of the righteous is sown in PEACE of them that make peace. (Gal 6:8; Phil 1:11).
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Healing in the Name of Jesus Christ is a good gift from the “Father of Lights” and should be desired so that captives will be set free and restored in Jesus Name! (Isiah 61:1-7)
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (variation). (John 3:27; Numbers 23:29)
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (James 1:17; 1 Kings 8:56).
John 3:27
John answered and said, a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. (Heb 5:4)
We are praying for you for the healing you have been seeking for so long! Jesus Christ died on the cross not only to grant you the free gift of salvation by grace through faith (Eph 2:4-8), but also to HEAL you of all your infirmities! Jesus Christ bore all your emotional, spiritual and physical infirmities on the cross so that as believers in Jesus Christ we shall BE FREE!!!
