I believe; help my UNBELIEF!
Mark 9:23-24
Are you in need of healing? If we are honest, we would have to admit that we all need healing in some way shape or form.
This world is not our home, but a fallen existence because of the sin that occurred in the garden when Adam and Eve TOGETHER chose to disobey God:
Genesis 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (King James Version)
What does the garden of Eden have to do with healing? EVERYTHING. Because the day that Adam and Eve at the forbidden fruit, sin entered the world and affected all creation.
Suddenly, God’s perfect creation became flawed and distorted. Sickness, deterioration and corruption entered into all life–everything that existed in the earth.
Why did God allow this to happen? Because when God created us, he gave us free will to choose to obey or disobey. God doesn’t seek to control us, but asks us to follow him and obey.
Satan, the father of lies distorts truth and deceives the heart. It’s what he’s good at. But his short term influence here on the earth is coming to a quick end. The truth is, Satan has no real authority here–but if we do not understand our authority from God to crush his head, we will fell defeated.
Luke 10:19 (KJV)
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Satan will try to lie you, and tell you that it is God’s will for you to suffer; God’s will for you to endure sickness and pain; God’s will to punish you for sin; God’s will to withhold his love from you until you do enough to “earn his favor”.
Friend, decide today to stop listening to the the lies of the enemy and begin today to RENEW your mind in the truth of who JESUS CHRIST SAYS WE ARE: HEALED, LOVED, CLEANSED, WASHED, SANCTIFIED, HOLY, REGENERATED, AND RENEWED by the Holy Spirit through JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR!!! (Titus 3:4-7)
The truth is, that Jesus bore ALL OUR INFIRMITIES: SIN, ILLNESS, ANXIETY, FEAR, HATE, UNFORGIVENESS, MALICE, GREED, LUST and REBELLION on the cross to set us FREE from the power is death and hell! Hallelujah!!!
If we have surrendered our will to Jesus Christ, confessing our sins and professing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of all, we are NOW living under HIS wonderful GRACE, POWER and FAVOR and AUTHORITY because of the LOVINGKINDNESS of our GOD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST:
Titus 3:4-7
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Jesus has given us everything we need to be in VICTORY NOW–not someday–NOW. But we must come out of agreement with the lies of the enemy that we are cast aside and forced to receive illness, oppression, depressions fear and anxiety because of a fallen world as a result of Adam and Eve’s sin. NO! Because of Jesus Christ we now have VICTORY OVER SIN and this fallen world and the lies of the enemy–if we chose to believe and ACTIVATE the power Christ has given to us so that we can be victorious by our choosing to stand on our faith and activate our spiritual gifts!!! (1 Cor 12)
In Mark 16: 17; 20 it reads:
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK; and they shall RECOVER.
V20
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord WORKING WITH THEM, and confirming the word with SIGNS following. Amen.
If we will choose to RECEIVE THE TRUTH that JESUS HAS GIVEN US HIS AUTHORITY TO:
- RAISE THE DEAD
- CAST OUT DEMONS
- HEAL THE SICK
We will begin to live lives of victory in Jesus Name!
Matthew 10:8
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Why would Jesus tell his disciples to operate in His authority if he didn’t mean it? Jesus told them “you will do even greater things than you have seen ME DO”
John 14:12-14
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believers on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
And whosoever shall ASK IN MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If he shall ask anything IN MY NAME, I will do it.
I have heard believers argue against healing and miracles and casting out demons and raising the dead, saying “Well, Jesus only gave that power to his apostles.” But, if we believe what the word actually says, we will receive the truth that Jesus gave this promise not just to his apostles but to WHOSEVER SHALL ASK IN MY NAME.
Clearly, Jesus is stating that ANY BELIEVER who has been sealed to God by faith through grace and has a relationship with Jesus Christ that is full of faith, will receive his authority to wield his power here on earth!!! The power of God flows from relationship with Jesus Christ, because Jesus is in the Father and he Father is in JESUS CHRIST:
John 14:10,11
“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words I speak unto you I speak not of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me, HE DOETH THE WORKS.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me”
We must ask God to open our eyes and hearts to believe HIS WORD IS TRUTH and to OBEY.
We must by humble enough to pray,
“Lord, I believe. Help my UNBELIEF!”
Mark 8:24
Satan’s worst nightmare is that we will get this truth on the inside of our spirit: THAT WE HAVE THE SAME AUTHORITY THAT JESUS CHRIST RECEIVED FROM THE FATHER FLOWING THROUGH OUR VEINS!!!
Can you imagine what life would be like here if we wielded the power and authority God has ALREADY given to us to set he captives FREE?
It is NOT blasphemous to obey GOD’s WORD. Rather, to deny the WORD of GOD and refuse to believe it by faith is UNBELIEF. If we confess our sins we are healed!!! Remember that GREATER IS HE who is IN ME than he (Satan) who is in the world!!
(1 John 4:4)
Because you have been cleaned by the blood of Jesus Christ, you walk in authority NOW to have victory over the enemy, fear, sickness and death!!! Hallelujah!!
I believe with all my soul that we will begin to see a greater outpouring of signs, wonders and miracles in these end times. Whether or not we understand our true relationship with Jesus Christ and receive his authority to overcome the evil one will determine how we experience the events that will soon unfold in the end times.
We can turn a blind eye to the Word of God or we can choose to have to believe by FAITH.
When I first experienced the spontaneous move of God in prayer to pray for a woman to be healed, I had to stop praying for the sick woman and instead pray for my own UNBELIEF!!!
I prayed, LORD!! Are you seriously telling me to pray for this woman’s healing? LORD!! I don’t know how!! And then the Holy Spirit gave me the words to pray:
Lord, I believe but HELP MY UNBELIEF!!!
Mark 9:23-25
I prayed that over and over again in silence until I decided to submit to the authority of God and OBEY HIM.
Then the Holy Spirit said to me: “Pray for healing in the NAME OF JESUS.”
So that is what I did–with six other prayer warriors that night at the first Be Free Ministry retreat in 2015. We prayed and we prayed for the suffering woman in great agony and pain, to be healed in the NAME OF JESUS!!!!!
There were no other words the Holy Spirit gave me to pray! At one point–about 20 minutes into this prayer for healing, I asked, “LORD, is there something else you can give me to pray? I sound like a broken record!” But my mind continues to be flooded with the same exact phrase:
“I pray for HEALING for Barbara in the name of Jesus!!!”
The power of God was flowing so strong through me that it was like a current–a flow of power that I couldn’t turn off!!! Glory to God!!!
And so we prayed for about 45 minutes until the moment when faith, trust and Holy Spirit power aligned and healing came!!! Hallelujah!!! It only took so long, because we had to get in agreement by faith in what The Holy Spirit was saying!!
I will never forget the wonder and the awe we felt–the elation and extreme JOY!!!! We had witnessed a miracle because we pressed in and we chose to believe God–even when we were in unfamiliar territory–healing the sick. That same weekend turned into our own private Pentecost as the Holy Spirit met us, guided us and directed us
This was a PURE move of GOD!!! None of us expected it or asked for it—but when the moment came to believe or doubt, we chose to BELIEVE by FAITH. Amen!!!
Immersing ourselves in the Word of God will help us to step out in faith when the moment arises that challenges our faith. Having the truth, the Word of God, stored up inside of us is KEY. Power flows from relationship. Relationship flows from eating the “bread of life”: the WORD OF GOD. Jesus is the WORD and the BREAD of LIFE.
No one can believe FOR YOU. This is YOUR JOURNEY OF FAITH.
I hope my testimony emboldens your faith to believe!!!
